O futuro do jovens, tem seguido um caminho alternativo graças ao novo valor da periferia que a economia criativa e tecnologia têm revelado.
Nome artístico: Okado do Canal. Hoje, aos 26 anos, ele conta sobre sua vida transformada a partir de um projeto audiovisual, do qual participou desde a criação, em 2011: o canal Favela News.
"Eu comecei no audiovisual para praticar edição, comecei porque dançava quando era guri e queria editar meus vídeos de break dance para poder publicar, daí fui sendo introduzido nessa área. No Favela (News) todo mundo faz um pouco de tudo, filma e edita, além disso fazemos várias oficinas nas comunidades", lembra Okado sobre o projeto de produção audiovisual feito sobre e por moradores de comunidades.
"Eu fui cria de projeto social. Quando a gente fundou o Favela News, o lance era mostrar a favela como ela realmente é. Trazer outros tipos de referência para a gurizada da comunidade, porque o lugar onde elas moram só passam na TV quando alguém é preso. Hoje a galera já se reconhece enquanto favela, porque é isso. A favela era só algo negativo, e hoje em dia já tem uma forma mais positiva", desabafa o jovem, que mesmo sem a formalidade de estudo para exercer uma profissão, aprendeu com a própria vida a ser ator e rapper, além de editor e cinegrafista, com atuação em cinco filmes.

Na última quinta-feira (3), Okado subiu mais uma vez ao palco, dessa vez no teatro Hermilo Borba Filho, no bairro do Recife, para contar a história da qual sempre foi protagonista: a sua vida; e como ela foi transformada a partir do Favela News (dentro da programação do festival Rec'n'Play).
"O Favela News surgiu de uma longa relação que a gente tem com a comunidade do Arruda e entorno do canal que corta a região. Ela nasceu muito da idéia de criar um modelo positivo da periferia, colocando-a no centro e aportando a parte positiva, criativa e empreendedora da periferia", explica a antropóloga e diretora-executiva da Usina da Imaginação - ONG responsável pelo projeto, Rita De Cácia.
Fundada em Santa Catarina, a Usina mantém projeto em regiões periféricas de Pernambuco, Amazonas e Santa Catarina, incentivando os jovens a descobrirem um novo mundo de oportunidades com ajuda da tecnologia e de atividades integradas à economia criativa.
"Nesse momento estamos com outro projeto que é o Pirilampo Criativo, bem importante para pensar a a economia criativa na periferia. É um laboratório de campanha para a primeira infância, fazendo formação para as crianças do Arruda e Campo Grande, além de formação para os jovens das periferias montarem eventos. A gente dá formação em gerência de processos e formação em primeira infância, tentando sensibilizar os jovens pais das crianças nos seus primeiros seis anos de vida", com complementa Rita. Segundo ela, o objetivo é promover uma espécie de "desencubadora".
'Tirar do cubo e fazer pensar em outra maneira. A idéia básica é fazer uma conexão entre a periferia e profissionais de várias áreas da cidade, cinema, produção de campanha (material gráfico) e trabalho com primeira infância, fazendo esses links de formação. Estamos "desencubando" o primeiro grande grupo agora, com a idéia de serem produtores culturais.

Oportunidade
Do outro lado da cidade, nas comunidades Caranguejo e Tabaiares, na Zona Oeste do Recife, é a internet fornecida pelos provedores locais que tem dado novo ânimo aos estudos de jovens e crianças que freqüentam a biblioteca comunitária que atende a região.
'Ter internet na comunidade é muito bom. Com isso, fica mais fácil fazer muita coisa. Lá, o pessoal que trabalha com internet montou uma empresa e fornece o serviço para toda a comunidade. A própria biblioteca agora tem wi-fi e isso ajuda muito. Você, para ler um livro, poder fazer isso indo buscar em algum lugar é complicado. Com internet, a gente pode ter o livro de qualquer lugar", comemora Enderson Costa, 27, morador do Caranguejo.
Embora pareça uma coisa simples, segundo a pesquisa TIC Domicílios de 2017, mais de um terço (39%) dos domicílios brasileiros ainda não tem nenhuma forma de acesso à internet. São cerca de 27 milhões de residências desconectadas, enquanto outras 42,1 milhões acessam a rede via banda larga ou dispositivos móveis. E o fato de nas comunidades Caranguejo e Tabaires a conexão facilitar a leitura é, talvez, o maior poder de transformação da rede.
"Há algum tempo surgiu dentro da comunidade um cara com a idéia maluca. Lá a gente não era instruído à nada, a não ser a realidade que a gente convive diariamente. Esse cara inventou de montar uma biblioteca na comunidade e comecei a me envolver com aquilo. Comecei a gostar de ler e está aí a grande descoberta da minha vida", conta Costa que, após guardar revólveres de bandidos e ver inúmeros amigos de infância morrerem na guerra do tráfico, está prestes a concluir o curso de Direito, tendo a possibilidade de incrementar a renda da família. "Hoje estou escrevendo um livro: Contos de Pala. A idéia é retratar as histórias que vi, vivi e ouvi na favela", pondera o jovem, que levou sua história ao conhecimento de uma platéia lotada de entusiastas da inovação, durante o Rec'n'Play.
Se o objetivo do festival era levar às ruas a inovação trazida pelo avanço tecnológico das companhias que atuam diariamente no Porto Digital, pode-se dizer que, no sentido contrário - das ruas para o Porto - o conhecimento também foi repassado. E quando ambos são somados provam que por trás da obviedade há um infinito de possibilidades que dão resultado.
