Foi disputada no último fim de semana em Rock-Hill (USA) a sétima e oitava etapas da Copa do Mundo de Ciclismo BMX. 

No feminino, a holandesa Laura Smulders brilhou mais uma vez ao vencer as duas etapas do fim de semana e lidera a classificação geral com 970 pontos, 60 pontos à frente da americana Alise Willoughby, que foi segunda em ambas as etapas. Paola Reis foi a brasileira com melhor performance chegando até as semifinais nas duas etapas do fim de semana e está em 13° na classificação geral com 362 pontos.

No masculino, o grande destaque ficou para o holandês Niek Kimmann venceu a oitava etapa e lidera com folga a classificação geral com 1.005 pontos, mais de 300 pontos à frente do equatoriano Alfredo Campo, que foi quarto na sétima etapa e segundo na oitava etapa. O brasileiro com melhor resultado foi Renato Rezende que chegou até as quartas de final da oitava etapa.

A temporada da Copa do Mundo chegará ao seu final com a realização das duas últimas etapas em Santiago del Estero (ARG) nos dias 28 e 29 de setembro.
