A franquia Halloween se revitalizou em 2018 com o reboot dirigido por David Gordon Green, que trouxe de volta a veterana Jamie Lee Curtis para a franquia de terror. Deveria ser apenas um último confronto com Michael Myers, mas o resultado gerou a produção de mais duas continuações.
Em entrevista para o Collider, a atriz falou sobre o que podemos esperar de Halloween Kills e Halloween Ends, que encerrarão essa nova fase da série de terror da Universal.
“O que eu amo sobre o trabalho de David, Danny McBride e a produtora é que eles ligaram os pontos para esses quarenta anos, e agora estão voltando para desembrulhar o primeiro filme, trazer de volta todos esses personagens cujas vidas foram impactadas pelo que aconteceu em 1978”, diz.

Nos próximos dois longas, Jamie Lee Curtis, como Laurie Strode, retorna novamente para enfrentar o terrível Michael Myers. Judy Greer e Andi Matichak devem voltar, enquanto Anthony Michael Hall será Tommy Doyle.
David Gordon Green, do filme anterior, retorna para dirigir e escrever o roteiro ao lado de Danny McBride (Segurando as Pontas).
Halloween Kills estreia em 16 de outubro de 2020, enquanto Halloween Ends chega em 15 de outubro de 2021.
