Há mais de dois meses, o Comitê Olímpico Internacional (COI), União Ciclística Internacional (UCI) e os organizadores de Tóquio 2020 firmaram que o evento teste do BMX iria acontecer no dia 13 de outubro ainda deste ano.
Logo que a data foi definida, as melhores atletas do mundo na ocasião foram convidadas para correr, testar e opinar sobre a pista que está sendo construído para as Olimpíadas, e, a sorocabana Priscilla Stevaux foi a única mulher do Brasil à receber este convite.
Assim, nesta semana, Priscilla embarcou ao Japão juntamente do seu treinador e irmão Douglas Stevaux, que, foi convidado para ser o treinador e representante da seleção brasileira durante o evento teste, acompanhando inclusive o atleta Renato Rezende, que também estará correndo na categoria masculina.
Para surpresa geral dos atletas, há poucos dias, o evento teste foi elevado à categoria C1, ou seja, ele será um campeonato valendo pontos para o ranking mundial e olímpico.
Tufão pode mudar data
Um violento tufão de nome Hagibis está se aproximando do Japão e a previsão é de que avance em direção a ilha Honshu, a maior e a principal do arquipélago, onde está Tóquio, no dia 12 de outubro.
