Onze skatistas chegam entre os pré-classificados por figurarem entre os 20 melhores do ranking mundial. Os demais 19 representantes do Brasil entraram via wild card da World Skate ou indicação da Confederação Brasileira de Skate. O evento acontece de quinta (19) a domingo (22), no Parque do Anhembi, em São Paulo.
No masculino, Kelvin Hoefler (4º do ranking mundial) entra direto na semifinal – oito avançam –, vaga assegurada aos quatro primeiros do ranking. Giovanni Vianna (11º), Felipe Gustavo (13º), Carlos Ribeiro (14º) e Ivan Monteiro (18º) têm lugar garantido nas quartas de final – 20 seguem nas disputas – por figurarem entre o 5º e o 20º melhores colocados do ranking.
“O Mundial é muito positivo para o skate nacional. Acredito que vai deixar o skate em evidência na mídia e o público brasileiro vai ter a oportunidade de ver de pertinho um evento de grande porte mundial”, destaca Kelvin Hoefler.
Lucas Xaparral, Patrik Mazzuchini, Lucas Rabelo, Tiago Lemos, Luan de Oliveira, Gabriel Fortunato, Lucas Alves, Lehi Leite, Rogério Febem, Danilo do Rosario, Rodil Ferrugem, Silas Bisteca e Mike Dias são os representantes do masculino que não estavam entre os pré-classificados. Todos esses atletas entram nas disputas das classificatórias globais – 20 mais bem colocados vão para as quartas.
No feminino, Pamela Rosa (1ª do ranking mundial), Rayssa Leal (2ª) e Leticia Bufoni (3ª) têm lugar assegurado na semifinal – oito melhores vão para a decisão. Virgínia Fortes Águas (9ª), Gabriela Mazetto (15ª) e Isabelly Ávila (16ª) entram nas quartas de final – 20 melhores seguem nas disputas.
