A etapa foi realizada em Xangai, na China, e reuniu os maiores nomes do BMX Big Air, BMX Street, Skate Street, Skate Big Air, Moto X Trick e Moto X Whip. Doguete foi o único representante brasileiro a disputar na modalidade BMX Big Air, conhecida também como Mega Rampa.
Oliveira encerrou sua participação no X Games entre os sete melhores do mundo. “Cheguei ao evento como reserva, mesmo assim treinei todos os dias, sem descanso. Precisava aproveitar a oportunidade de treinar na Mega Rampa. Na última hora fui chamado para substituir um atleta australiano. Entrei e fiz o meu melhor. Foi incrível”, comemorou. O atleta se recupera de duas cirurgias, no punho esquerdo e no olho, realizadas há menos de um mês para o início da competição. “Eu não estava 100% fisicamente, mas fui mentalmente focado”, destacou.
Doguete, de 28 anos, pratica a modalidade freestyle desde os 14 anos e cravou a sua oitava participação, em sete anos consecutivos da competição. Ele disputou as edições do X Games em Foz do Iguaçu (Paraná), Los Angeles (Califórnia), Austin (Texas), Sidney, na Australia e Mineápolis (Minnesota). Em cinco participações, disputou em duas modalidades: a vertical e a Mega Rampa (Big Air), sendo o único brasileiro a competir.
Seu melhor resultado foi em 2013, na edição de Foz do Iguaçu, quando chegou como convidado, para substituir um atleta lesionado, e bateu o recorde de maior salto da competição em Mega Rampa, atingindo 7 metros e 20 centímetros.
O competidor já retornou a São Bernardo e retomou a rotina de treinos no Complexo de Formação Esportiva e BMX, no Centro, onde já se prepara para novas competições. Em julho, Doguete estará nos Estados Unidos na preparação para o X Games Mineápolis, VansBMXProCup e JackalopFest, no Canadá, e para o mundial que será realizado em Londres. Doguete também esta focado em conseguir uma vaga na seleção brasileira e representar o País nas Olimpíadas de Tóquio 2020.

The athlete Douglas Leite de Oliveira, better known as Doguete, participated between June 1 and 2 of the competition considered the "Olympics of extreme sports": the X Games.

I needed to take the opportunity to train at Mega Ramp. At the last minute I was called to replace an Australian athlete. I went in and did my best. It was incredible, "he celebrated. The athlete recovers from two surgeries, in the left wrist and the eye, performed less than a month before the beginning of the competition. "I was not 100% physically, but I was mentally focused," he said.
Doguete, 28, has been practicing freestyle since the age of 14 and has scored his eighth in seven consecutive years of the competition. He competed in the X Games editions in Foz do Iguaçu (Paraná), Los Angeles (California), Austin (Texas), Sydney, Australia and Minneapolis (Minnesota). In five participations, he played in two modalities: the vertical and Mega Rampa (Big Air), being the only Brazilian to compete.
His best result was in the Foz do Iguaçu edition in 2013, when he arrived as a guest to replace an injured athlete and hit the highest jump record in Mega Rampa, reaching 7 meters and 20 centimeters.
The competitor has already returned to São Bernardo and resumed the routine of training in the Complex of Sports Training and BMX, in the Center, where he is already preparing for new competitions. In July, Doguete will be in the United States in preparation for X Games Minneapolis, VansBMXProCup and JackalopFest in Canada, and for the World Championship to be held in London. Doguete is also focused on getting a place in the Brazilian national team and representing the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
