An independent project developed in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, Brazil, aims to value athletes and skateboarders in the city.
Now Olympian, in Tokyo-2020, gains more and more strength and fans.
Although on the ground in Blumenau, there are only a few spaces for the practice of the sport - Ramiro Ruediger Park, just to be remembered, has been closed since the end of last year - there are selfless ones who aim to value the practice of sports on four casters .
This is the case of Henrique "Kico", creator of the Vale Skate Movie.
When he realized the growth of skateboarding in the Vale do Itajaí, he decided to recognize and honor the practitioners. The idea is to produce videos and photos of amateur and even anonymous athletes, whether on streets, sidewalks, squares, to prove that even with the lack of specific spaces, it is possible to develop the sport in the most unusual places.
The insight came in 2009 and taken off the paper over the past nine years. All with values funded out of pocket.

- We want with the video to spread the skateboard in the city, showing that in addition to a sport, skateboarding is a way of life in which there are even people who live just this - explains Kico. It is worth mentioning names such as Vitor Gonçalves and Gabriel Garcia from Blumenau, as well as others from the Itajaí Valley who also participate in the production that was recorded in Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, São Paulo, Spain, Germany and Czech Republic.
This is the fourth edition of the project. Kico argues that although Blumenau is not in a skateboard pole in Brazil, it is possible to develop the sport and encourage new athletes.
