Seleção Brasileira anunciada
No final do dia, a Confederação Brasileira de Skate anunciou os três atletas de cada modalidade que já garantiram uma vaga na seleção brasileira 2019 de skate, através do ranking brasileiro. Ainda serão anunciados os atletas indicados pela Confederação por critérios técnicos e fecharão a seleta lista de atletas contemplados pela seleção.

Com direito a temperatura elevada e também com o calor da torcida no Rio de Janeiro, quatro brasileiros brilharam na final do STU Open, a etapa final do Circuito Brasileiro de Skate, que aconteceu netse domingo, na Praça Duó, na Barra da Tijuca, Zona Oeste do Rio de Janeiro. Yndiara Asp, Pedro Barros, Leticia Bufoni e Kelvin Hoefler venceram suas modalidades e conquistam o primeiro lugar no torneio.
Campeão mundial da World Skate, Pedro Barros conquistou o título na categoria park ao alcançar uma nota 87,67. O jovem derrotou Pedro Quintas (78,67), e Luiz Francisco (75,00), segundo e terceiro lugares, respectivamente. na decisão do park.

Rayssa Leal, conheciada ao 7 anos como "fadinha" do skate
– Esse ano inteiro foi uma grande preparação. O skate tem uma história de muitos anos, é um estilo de vida, e a Olimpíada é algo novo. Por isso o preparo será muito grande. Vamos lá com uma missão e ver se conseguimos. A mensagem é o skate acima de tudo – disse Pedro, que ainda completou sobre a importância do evento.
– É algo que nos dá vida e abre novos horizontes, nos traz amigos que considero minha família. O lifestyle tem que sempre ser valorizado por que é uma forma de se expressar. A competição foi demais, mostra o nível do skate brasileiro. Pra você ver o Alex Sorgente não ficou no pódio e ele é campeão do mundo.

Já no feminino, Yndiara Asp completou a bateria de três voltas com manobras perfeitas e foi campeã com nota 81,00. A atleta bateu suas amigas Isadora Pacheco (75,33) e Dora Varella (68,67).
– Hoje eu acordei bem e vi que seria um dia perfeito. As meninas arrasaram muito. E agora é partir para a próxima competição e crescer ainda mais. Muito feliz de estar dentro da Seleção, junto com as meninas, que são super merecedoras. A expectativa para 2019 é mostrar o que eu amo fazer, no meu estilo, e apresentar isso cada vez mais pro mundo – disse Yndiara.

Bufoni mantém o favoritismo
Já na modalidade Street, Letícia Bufoni ficou no topo do pódio da competição feminina, com um percurso sem erros e ainda finalizou indo pra galera. Ela venceu com 330.33 pontos, seguida de Pamela Rosa (316.37) e Rayssa Leal (312.07).
– A competição foi animal, a energia está incrível. Amei andar no Rio, foi um clima incrível e só mostra a energia do skate – declarou Bufoni.

No Street masculino, Kelvin Hoefler manteve o favoritismo com um repertório de manobras espetaculares e levou a melhor, com 359.37 pontos. O segundo lugar ficou com Felipe Gustavo (350.63) e o terceiro com o canadense Micky Papa (339.33).
– O evento teve uma vibe muito positiva, o que ajudou muito no desempenho de todos os skatistas. Estou muito feliz com o resultado. Espero voltar ano que vem e representar bem o país na classificatória brasileira – disse.
