Evento que acontece de 18 a 22 de setembro, no Parque do Anhembi, distribuirá a maior pontuação para os Jogos Olímpicos e terá brasileiro Kelvin Hoelfer, pentacampeão mundial.
O Campeonato Mundial de Street, etapa final da Street League Skateboarding (SLS), será realizado no Parque do Anhembi, em São Paulo, de 18 a 22 de setembro.
Trata-se da mais importante competição do calendário 2019 da modalidade, que estreia nos Jogos Olímpicos em 2020.
A competição distribuirá 80 mil pontos no ranking olímpico para os campeões na capital paulista.
São esperados em torno de 70 atletas, entre homens e mulheres, que disputarão as provas em uma pista inédita, como é costume na SLS, construída especificamente para esta competição no Pavilhão de Exposições do Anhembi.
Kelvin Hoefler, segundo colocado no Mundial do Rio, em janeiro, e integrante da seleção brasileira, tem no currículo cinco títulos mundiais, uma vitória no Super Crown 2015, antiga etapa final da SLS, e ouro nos X Games de Minneapolis-2017 e de Oslo-2018.
Integrante do Guinness em 2017 como o atleta com mais títulos de skate street, Kelvin está confirmado em São Paulo.
- Disputei a final da SLS, em janeiro, no Rio, e agora teremos mais uma etapa no Brasil. Isso é muito bom para o skate nacional. Acredito que a torcida paulista e os amantes do skate do Brasil todo vão vir em peso, assim como foi no Rio. Isso vai nos ajudar ainda mais a colocar o skate no pé. É um evento de muita importância e espero fazer o meu melhor. Estou focado e treinando muito para isso - disse o skatista.
Outro nomes de peso que estará na capital paulista é o americano Nyjah Husto, maior campeão da história da SLS.

Na competição feminina, o evento terá as brasileiras Pamela Rosa e Letícia Bufoni, líder e vice-líder do ranking mundial feminino, além de Rayssa Leal, estrela de apenas 11 anos de idade e número 4 do mundo.
Para Pedro Rego Monteiro, Diretor Executivo da Effect Sport, organizadora da competição, esta será uma oportunidade única para o público paulista prestigiar um evento da Street League, e ver em ação estrelas da modalidade, que certamente estarão nos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio:

O Pavilhão de Exposições do Anhembi tem capacidade para receber até 9 mil pessoas por dia no final de semana (21 e 22/09), em que haverá venda de ingressos do evento aberto ao público.
Já nos dias 18, 19 e 20 será disputada a fase classificatória com portões fechados. No dia 20 a pista ficará disponível para os treinos dos atletas pré-classificados para a fase semifinal e a final.
