Porém é muito mais que isso, além de aprender passos, os adolescentes também aprendem o conhecimento da arte, de onde vem o hip hop, o que representa para uma parte da população que o busca como estilo de vida.
Desde 2017 os centros socioeducativos de Fortaleza, administrados pela Superintendência do Sistema Estadual de Atendimento Socioeducativo (Seas), estão ensinando os jovens que cumprem medidas socioeducativas a dançar passos de hip hop. A ideia surgiu após um dos coordenadores da Seas verificar uma apresentação de membros do grupo Sul Clan – coletivo de Hip Hop de Fortaleza.
O artista e poeta Eduardo Africano, foi a referência deste grupo na modalidade e na implantação da dança dentro dos centros socioeducativos, que foi muito bem recebida pelos jovens. Inicialmente as aulas começaram mostrando o que era essa arte, as músicas que são reproduzidas para dançar a modalidade, e exemplos de passos.
Africano relata o quanto é importante passar seus ensinamentos a esses jovens. “A oportunidade que eu posso estar dando a eles de abrir novos horizontes. Porque infelizmente nas comunidades, nas favelas, nas periferias de Fortaleza, poucos jovens têm a oportunidade de conhecer o hip hop, de conhecer uma cultura, um entendimento que isso liberta verdadeiramente, e eu creio muito na transformação através do hip hop. E estar fazendo esse trabalho com esses jovens é muito gratificante para mim, porque eu já fui um deles e hoje eu estou usando a ferramenta do hip hop para transformar a vida deles. E a cada momento eu transformo minha vida também porque a gente está ensinando e aprendendo”.
A primeira unidade a aprender essa arte foi o Centro Socioeducativo São Francisco, em que jovens cumprem medida de internação provisória, de até 45 dias. Atualmente 6 centros socioeducativos de Fortaleza possuem aulas semanais de hip hop, e adotaram esta dança como metodologia de socioeducação, para a construção de novas trajetórias de vida.
De acordo com o adolescente,F.G, a figura do Africano é muito mais que apenas um professor de hip hop na vida deles, e pretende levar os ensinamentos adiante, fora da unidade socioeducativa: “Ele não nos ensina só o hip hop, ele também nos ensina as leis da vida, porque às vezes precisamos daquela pessoa do nosso lado nos ajudando, e o Africano é uma dessas pessoas. Nos traz palavras bonitas, nos ensina o verdadeiro caminho. Nos ensina que o Hip Hop não é só o que a gente pensa é muitas coisas além.”
Para além de uma oficina, o hip hop é uma referência e está sendo propagada em eventos internos e externos do sistema socioeducativo do Ceará, integrando também o cronograma atual da II Olimpíada Socioeducativa, com a categoria de break dance, que consiste em disputas de passos de dança.
