Importante competição esportiv, que neste ano, contará com a participação de 55 cidades. O evento organizado pela Prefeitura de Sorocaba, através da Secretaria de Esportes e Lazer (Semes), acontece na cidade entre os dias 03 e 13 de Julho.
A abertura oficial está prevista para o dia 3 de Julho, às 19h, no Parque das Águas. Para esta festa, alguns nomes já estão confirmados, como o do Capitão da Magnus Futsal e Seleção Brasileira, Rodrigo. Outras atrações estão sendo preparadas para as delegações e o público presente.
Já o Congresso Técnico com presença obrigatória de um representante de cada município acontecerá no dia 25 de Junho, às 15h, no Centro de Referência em Educação (CRE), localizado na Rua Artur Caldini, 211 – Jardim Saira.
O Secretário de Esportes e Lazer, Simei Lamarca, destaca a importância da competição. “Sorocaba está se tornando referência no esporte e sediarmos novamente os Jogos Regionais é a prova desse potencial. A expectativa é de terminarmos entre as primeiras cidades na classificação final, como ocorreu nos anos anteriores”, afirmou.
Sorocaba estará presente em todas as modalidades esportivas e para fazer um bom papel, as equipes vêm acelerando os treinamentos, principalmente nas provas que exigem maior esforço físico e entrosamento entre os atletas do grupo.
"Estamos confiantes, com uma delegação maior, mais experiente e comprometida. O trabalho direcionado em formação para rendimento, - com investimentos em metodologias inovadoras, análises, avaliações e acompanhamento de performance física dos atletas, com equipe médica e de fisioterapeutas - que vem sendo realizado ao longo dos últimos dois anos e meio rendem bons frutos", comenta a diretora do Departamento de Formação e Rendimento da UGEL, Rita Orsi.
A equipe contará com estrutura completa em lavanderia e refeições preparadas pelas equipes de alimentação da Unidade de Gestão de Educação (UGE), fisioterapeutas, seguranças, motoristas, recreação, laboral, secretaria e manutenção.
