Os participantes do World Roller Games estão finalizando sua preparação para sua estréia na competição que colocará o Barcelona no epicentro da patinação no mundo. Uma das disciplinas que mais suscitou emoção é o artístico, dado o elevado nível de expectativas devido à presença dos melhores skatistas do mundo, este terá lugar nos espaços do torneio Palau Sant Jordi e Sant Jordi Club.
Entre as principais equipes que participarão das competições desta disciplina está a CPA Olot, cujos patinadores foram proclamados 12 vezes campeões mundiais (os últimos seis seguidos) e se tornaram referência na modalidade grupal de show.
Os skaters de Ester Fàbrega, que acabaram de visitar o Palau Sant Jordi, esperam que o WRG2019 sirva para relançar o seu domínio, depois de terem sido ultrapassados pelo CPA Girona nos últimos torneios em que competiram: o Campeonato Espanhol e o Campeonato da Europa. O duelo com GPA Girona será repetido na forma de grupos - Large Show, onde o Reus Deportiu completa o elenco de representantes espanhóis em Barcelona.
O CPA Olot foi instalado na elite da patinação artística desde 2003, quando seus skatistas proclamaram campeões europeus em Nantes e alcançaram o terceiro lugar na Copa do Mundo na Argentina. Desde 2004, com o primeiro ouro mundial, conquistaram 12 campeonatos mundiais.
O clube inclui mais de 200 atletas, incluindo skatistas masculinos e femininos, treinadores e treinadores de idades entre 5 e 35 anos.
