Curitiba recebeu, neste domingo (23), mais uma edição do “Dia Mundial do Skate”. O evento, também conhecido como “Go Skate Day”, teve a Pista do Gaúcho, na Praça do Redentor, na Rua Trajano Reis, no São Francisco, o ponto de concentração de centenas de adeptos do esporte desde a manhã. No começo da tarde, eles sairam em passeata pelas ruas de Curitiba.
Curitiba já foi considerada a capital das quatro rodinhas e atualmente sedia a maior comemoração do país de diversos estilos de skate. O Dia Mundial é um evento reconhecido por skatistas e envolvidos com o esporte, que recentemente tornou-se olímpico, com estreia na Olimpíada de Tóquio, no ano que vem.
O Go Skare Day foi oficialmente criado no dia 21 de junho pela International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) para tornar o skate mais acessível, com a realização de vários eventos nas principais cidades do mundo.
Semana do Skate
Desde a semana passada a Secretaria de Esporte, Lazer e Juventude da Prefeitura de Curitiba realiza a Semana do Skate, com obstáculos, como rampas, corrimãos e caixotes para os atletas executarem as manobras. A ação é realizada nas regionais. Na semana passada elas foram levadas para as regionais Matriz e Boqueirão.
Nesta semana o evento volta a acontecer na Regionais Boa Vista e CIC, ambas no sábado, das 9 às 12 horas e das 14 às 17 horas no Boa Vista, e das 9 às 12 horas na CIC. O objetivo das atividades é o incentivo para que eles pratiquem o esporte em locais seguros.
