Jovens skatistas brasileiros vivem sonho olímpico e projetam sucesso do país na estreia da modalidade nos Jogos.
Contando com vários dos principais nomes do skate mundial, o Brasil sonha alto e projeta resultados expressivos nos Jogos Olímpicos de Tóquio 2020. A modalidade, inclusive, fará parte do programa oficial do evento pela primeira vez na história. Nesta terça-feira (06), atletas da categoria park marcaram presença na cerimônia de lançamento da etapa de São Paulo do Circuito Mundial, um dos principais torneios qualificatórios para o evento na capital japonesa.
De acordo com os critérios do site especializado The Boardr, Yndiara Asp é a melhor brasileira no ranking feminino, ocupando a sétima colocação atualmente. Caso mantenha o retrospecto positivo durante a temporada, ela certamente representará o país no ano que vem. “A expectativa é estar lá. Etapa por etapa, estou tentando viver o presente para chegar lá no futuro. Vai ser uma experiência incrível, eu quero muito estar lá e aproveitar essa oportunidade ao máximo”, contou.
Em maio, a catarinense de 21 anos alcançou a medalha de bronze nas disputas em Xangai, na China, válidas pelo Circuito Mundial. Apesar da ausência do skate nos Jogos Pan-Americanos, a Seleção Brasileira já pensa nos próximos torneios importantes. “O Brasil, para mim, tem os melhores skatistas do mundo. Temos aquela garra brasileira, com certeza vamos representar o skate nacional de uma forma incrível na Olimpíada”.
Murilo Peres é outro membro da ótima geração brasileira e almeja um lugar entre os classificados para Tóquio. Além disso, vem de vitória na etapa de Florianópolis, em Santa Catarina, do Brasileiro. Na ocasião, desbancou o favorito Pedro Barros em janeiro. “Eu venho trabalhando bastante para, pelo menos, aproveitar essa oportunidade fazendo o meu melhor. Já estou correndo atrás para ter certeza que me dediquei ao máximo e para retribuir ao skate, essa é a minha intenção. Eu busco o meu melhor para que o skate aconteça da melhor forma no Brasil, tendo mais incentivos e pistas”, comentou.
“O Brasil é o grande favorito (nos Jogos Olímpicos), com certeza. Coloco muita fé nos skatistas que temos hoje em dia, que são pessoas que estão ao redor do mundo buscando os seus objetivos. O skate na Olimpíada é aquilo que a gente nunca imaginava. A nossa maior razão de estar no skate é simplesmente o andar de skate, é respirar esse estilo de vida. Se eu conseguir me classificar… Eu vou me classificar (risos), vai ser muito gratificante”, finalizou Murilo, 13º lugar no raking da The Boardr.
