A exemplo do que ocorre no masculino, o Brasil conta com atletas que figuram entre os principais nomes do mundo. A modalidade estreia nos Jogos Pan-Americanos de Lima 2019 e também estará presente na Olimpíada de Tóquio, em 2020.
Com a corrida olímpica em jogo, ainda não há a definição das brasileiras que disputarão o street feminino. Aos 25 anos de idade, a brasileira Letícia Bufoni é a grande estrela do momento no street feminino. Com direito a títulos mundiais na conta e quatro outros nos X Games, a paulista é o maior destaque do skate brasileiro. A liderança do Global Skateboarding Raking foi alcançada com a contagem de 16.210 pontos conquistados.
Após a derrota por apenas um décimo na final do Street League no Rio de Janeiro, Letícia Bufoni também vive a expectativa de uma possível participação para os Jogos Pan-Americanos. A CBSK deve confirmar os nomes convocados a partir da proximidade com o evento peruano.
O skate street tem como base utilizar o espaço urbano e seus obstáculos para a composição de manobras: escadas, corrimãos, escadas, paredes e qualquer outro desafio que apareça pela frente.
