Nos primeiros quatro meses de Quintal Skate na unidade Santa Mônica da Associação Santo Agostinho, zona oeste paulistana, a imersão no universo do skate foi intensa para as cerca de 120 crianças atendidas nesta quarta edição do projeto social.
Entre as recentes atividades desenvolvidas, os jovens receberam novos pares de tênis para a prática de skate, entregues pelos skatistas JP Dantas e Nicholas Dias, e visitaram pela primeira vez uma pista de skate, com direito a muitas manobras nas transições da Cave Pool.
A fotografia e as revistas de skate também foram outros mundos revelados para a criançada, apresentados pelo fotógrafo Thomas Teixeira.
Já na quadra da unidade em que o projeto é desenvolvido, quando as crianças colocam equipamentos de proteção e escolhem o skate, skatistas convidados tornam as aulas práticas ainda mais especiais.
Em seu quinto ano seguido, a atual edição do projeto social Quintal Skate segue até abril de 2019.

Sobre o Quintal Skate
Quintal Skate é uma realização da Associação de Skate Universitário, em parceria com a Secretaria de Esportes, Lazer e Juventude do Estado de São Paulo, por meio da Lei Paulista de Incentivo ao Esporte.

Sobre a Associação Santo Agostinho
Atende anualmente mais de 1.400 crianças, jovens e idosos. Hoje, são mais de 250 profissionais atuando em 14 unidades.
Entre os beneficiários diretos e indiretos do projeto estão afrodescendentes, pessoas do gênero feminino, com deficiência, crianças abrigadas e vítimas de violência sexual ou doméstica.

Projeto Quintal Skate follows activities in São Paulo, Brazil.
In the first four months of Quintal Skate in the Santa Mônica unit of the Santo Agostinho Association, west of São Paulo, immersion in the skate universe was intense for the approximately 120 children attended in this fourth edition of the social project.
