O Centro da Juventude receberá novos equipamentos aos praticantes.
Com a presença da skatista Pâmela Rosa, o Centro da Juventude receberá, na próxima quinta-feira (20), novos equipamentos para a prática de esportes radicais.
A substituição é necessária devido ao uso frequente dos jovens que praticam skate e patins. Podem praticar atletas profissionais, amadores e iniciantes.
Em todas as regiões da cidade existem locais para a prática destas modalidades.
O evento da próxima quinta-feira terá a presença da atleta Pâmela Rosa, campeã mundial em 2019 no SLS (Street League Session), disputado em São Paulo. A atleta é apoiada pela Prefeitura de São José dos Campos, por meio da LIF (Lei de Incentivo Fiscal) e busca neste ano vaga para disputar as Olimpíadas de Tóquio.
Para a joseense, praticante da modalidade skate street, 'essa substituição, dos obstáculos atuais, proposta pela Prefeitura, mostra um olhar diferente para com os skatistas da cidade. Sempre, quando consigo, venho treinar aqui, pois é um lugar que me identifico e tem uma estrutura muito bacana. Agora, com esses novos obstáculos serão ainda melhor e conseguirei treinar ainda mais'.
A skatista ganhou destaque ao conquistar, em setembro, o título do Campeonato Mundial SLS 2019. Ela entrou na disputa da etapa de São Paulo como líder do ranking, com 100 mil pontos. Com a vitória, ganhou mais 80 mil pontos. A soma lhe valeu o título mundial.
Pâmela tem 20 anos de idade, nasceu no Novo Horizonte, na região leste, e começou a praticar skate aos 8 anos, quando tornou-se a mais nova campeã na modalidade street.
O espaço
O Centro da Juventude, na região sul de São José dos Campos, é frequentado por pessoas de todas as idades. Durante todo o ano, é possível praticar skate, patins, BMX, vôlei, futebol de areia, futevôlei, futsal, basquete e atividades aeróbicas.
Também são ministradas aulas de ritmos, funcional, ginastica, condicionamento físico, boxe chinês, jiu-jitsu, taekwondo, judô, luta olímpica e alongamento, jaz e dança. Para participar, tem ser feita as inscrições no aplicativo São José Viva e ter vaga disponível. Todas as atividades são gratuitas.

O Centro da Juventude ainda possui biblioteca inclusiva, com acervo em braille, audiolivros e filmes com áudio descrição, sinalização sonora de acesso para pessoas com deficiência, corrimão, elevador e placas com sinalização em braile, piso tátil, banheiros adaptados e rampas, academia ao ar livre adaptada e jardim sensorial.
