Oficialmente o World Skate Open Lima 2020.
O concurso de skate é um evento de qualificação para o Tóquio 2020 e inaugurará a temporada 2020.
Com o cancelamento / reprogramação de vários eventos desde o início do ano novo, devido aos incêndios florestais australianos e à disseminação do novo Coronavírus, o Lima Open será a primeira chance para os skatistas ganharem pontos de qualificação olímpica este ano e os holofotes serão no Peru, no Costa Verde Skatepark.
O evento acontecerá de 5 a 11 de abril e além de ser sancionado como um evento de 5 estrelas no Street and Park Skateboarding, o Lima Open também será sancionado como o Campeonato Continental Pan-Americano de Rua.
Skatistas do continente americano, competindo na Street, receberão pontos WSR de 5 estrelas e Continental Championship. Com tantos pontos de qualificação olímpica em jogo, a participação prevista é bastante alta.

No dia 5 de abril, a Maratona será realizada no maravilhoso "Parque Kennedy", no bairro de Miraflores, em um circuito de 14 km, ao longo da Avenida Arequipa.
Além das categorias concorrentes tradicionais - World Class (Junior e Senior) e Masters - pela primeira vez, o World Skate abrirá a maratona para um grupo mais amplo de participantes, introduzindo novas categorias e distâncias: Kids e Cadets em 6 km e Fitness on 14 km e 42, 195 km.
A categoria Fitness é aberta, mas não se limita aos participantes que usam patins de velocidade em linha.
Os participantes registrados nesta categoria podem competir com qualquer equipamento com rodas, incluindo: patins, patinetes (não elétricos) e skates.
O prêmio em dinheiro será concedido às 20 primeiras posições no ranking - divididas igualmente entre homens e mulheres - de acordo com o detalhamento dos boletins oficiais.

Por último, mas não menos importante, os participantes internacionais pertencentes às categorias World Class, Masters e Fitness terão a chance de ganhar prêmios de acomodação (8 para mulheres e 8 para homens): Os 16 prêmios serão sorteados e fornecerão a cada um dos vencedores 2 noites de hospedagem grátis, em quarto duplo (para ser compartilhado com outro vencedor do mesmo sexo).
O pacote de acomodação gratuita deve ser usado apenas para fins de participação no evento.

Lima (PER) will host the World Skate Open Lima 2020 now scheduled from 5 to 11 of April: a huge event including the World Cup Skate Open Marathon and the Skateboarding Open Street & Park.
Officially postponed the World Skate Open Lima 2020.
The skateboarding contest is a qualifying event for Tokyo 2020 and will inaugurate the 2020 season.
With the cancellation/rescheduling of multiple events since the beginning of the new year, due to both Australian bushfires and the spread of Novel Coronavirus, the Lima Open will be the first chance for skateboarders to earn Olympic qualification points this year and the spotlight will be in Peru on the Costa Verde Skatepark.
The event will take place from April 5th to the 11th and beyond being sanctioned as a 5 Star event for Street and Park Skateboarding, the Lima Open will also be sanctioned as the Pan-American Continental Championship of Street.
Skateboarders from the American continent, competing in Street will receive both 5 Star and Continental Championship WSR points. With so many Olympic Qualification points at stake, the forecasted attendance is quite high.

On April 5th, the Marathon will take place at the wonderful “Parque Kennedy” in the neighborhood of Miraflores, in a 14km circuit, along the Avenida Arequipa.
Besides the traditional competing categories - World Class (Junior and Senior) and Masters - for the very first time World Skate will open the marathon to a wider group of participants by introducing new categories and distances: Kids and Cadets on 6 km, and Fitness on 14 km and 42, 195 Km.
The Fitness category is opened, but not limited to participants using Inline Speed Skates.
Participants registered under this category are allowed to compete using any equipment with wheels, this includes: quad skates, scooters (non-electric), and skateboards.
Prize money will be awarded to the first 20 positions in the ranking – equally split between women and men – according to the break down in the official bulletins.

Last but not the least, international participants belonging to the World Class, Masters and Fitness categories will have the chance to win accommodation prizes (8 for women and 8 for men): The 16 prizes will awarded by raffle and provide each of the winners with 2-nights free accommodation, in a twin room (to be shared with another prize winner of the same gender).
The free accommodation package shall only be used for the purpose of participating in the event.
