A Prefeitura de Itapevi iniciou, esta semana a demolição do prédio onde funcionava a antiga Circunscrição Regional de Trânsito, na região central da cidade, e vai construir, no lugar, o Itapevi Skate Park.
A previsão é que os trabalhos comecem em novembro deste ano e a entrega está prevista para maio de 2020.
O espaço terá uma pista de skate com bowl (parecida com uma piscina) de 350 m² (alturas de 1,60m e 2,40 m), pista overall (mistura de street com transições) de mais de 1.400 m² e banks iniciantes (pista em formato de bowl, mas com paredes menores) de 200 m² (alturas de 0,80m e 1,10m).
Além disso, vai contar com uma pista street de 750 m², com rampas retas, quarters, corrimãos, caixotes, palcos, escadas, funbox, spinner, vulcões e doublewaves. O projeto inclui ainda arquibancadas e local de convivência.
Já a Ciretran foi transferida para o Resolve Fácil, o “Poupatempo municipal”. Essa região de Itapevi também já recebeu outras obras de grande porte, incluindo as construções do Corredor Oeste, da Praça do Nordestino e da nova rotatória da Cohab.
É também onde está a galeria de grafite a céu aberto batizada de West SideGallery. Já o Itapevi Skate Park substituirá a antiga pista de skate da rotatória da Cohab.
Durante a primeira fase dos estudos do projeto, técnicos da administração municipal ouviram, em 2018, skatistas e lideranças de movimentos culturais da cidade sobre a construção do novo equipamento.
Depois, estudou a viabilidade do projeto apresentado pelos skatistas, ajustando a proposta às dimensões físicas da área e ao orçamento municipal disponível.
