No último final de semana dos Jogos Pan Americanos, (10 e 11 de agosto), os pinheirenses que já contavam com 38 medalhas, ainda somaram mais nove resultados, chegando a 47 e encerram sua participação em Lima tendo feito sua melhor campanha na história da competição, sendo que o Clube participou de todas as edições desde 1951, em Buenos Aires. O Pinheiros refletiu o desempenho do Brasil, que também teve sua melhor campanha após 56 anos, batendo recorde de medalhas e fechando o Pan com 55 ouros, 45 pratas e 71 bronzes, um total de 171 medalhas.

O Pinheiros que tem tradição em grandes eventos esportivos e que costuma contribuir sempre com números expressivos nas delegações de atletas que representam o país em várias modalidades, já havia superado seus números em relação à quantidade de atletas pinheirenses convocados para o Pan, atingiu também suas expectativas em relação aos resultados. Na edição passada, que aconteceu em Toronto, foram 30 medalhas conquistadas e para este ciclo a expectativa era aumentar este número para 40, mas a campanha foi ainda melhor, chegando a 47 medalhas (17 ouros, 15 pratas e 15 bronzes).

Entre as seleções de polo aquático, masculina e feminina, da qual a base era composta por pinheirenses, mais dois bronzes foram garantidos. E a natação que já vinha fazendo uma ótima campanha ainda teve o seu último dia com mais dois resultados em provas individuais e outros dois em revezamentos.
