A primeira etapa dos X-Games também foi em Xangai, mas Luizinho Francisco não participou. A de Minneapolis, a segunda com skate e a terceira do calendário, vai de  1 e 4 de agosto. Aspen abriu os X-Games, com esportes de inverno.

Além dele, outros quatro atletas representaram o Brasil em solo norte-americano, todos integrantes do selecionado nacional em skate park. Héricles Fagundes (10º), Murilo Peres (18º), Dora Varella (10ª) e Yndiara Asp (11ª) mandaram bem, mas não conseguiram uma das seis vagas em jogo.
