A representação da escola esteve formada por dez patinadores, sob a instrução do técnico Diego de Paula e da professora Cláudia Lunardi de Paula.
Os pódios da escola foram nas categorias iniciantes 1 e 2 e estreantes, em disputas da modalidade livre.
Na avaliação dos professores, estar entre os vencedores foi um grande desafio para a escola, que competiu com grandes nomes da patinação gaúcha e com um novo regulamento geral.
Diego, um dos 77 técnicos em território nacional habilitados pela Federação Brasileira de Patinação (FBP), e árbitro da Federação Gaúcha de Patinagem (FGP), destaca que a competição marcou a abertura da temporada 2019 do esporte e que a equipe está preparada para conquistar muitos pódios no certame.
Os resultados obtidos em Santa Cruz do Sul são frutos dos treinamentos intensos da equipe e do constantemente aperfeiçoamento do técnico que tem participado de cursos, oficinas e workshops com profissionais como Pedro Romero, técnico da Seleção Colombiana de Patinação e Rafaelo Melossi, da Seleção Italiana.
A escola Dança sobre Rodas tem hoje 85 alunos matriculados nas aulas de patinação, com treinamentos no Ginásio Municipal Marcelo Mioso e em outros três locais da cidade, em três turnos, com alunos a partir dos quatro anos, nas categorias infantil, intermediária e adulta.
Neste final de semana, com seis atletas em nível avançado, a escola participa da Copa X-Lise, também em Santa Cruz do Sul.
De acordo com o técnico, os treinamentos estão sendo intensificados a partir de agora, preparando os atletas da escola para a Copa MERCOSUL, em outubro, com previsão de participação de mais de 1,5 mil patinadores do continente e a Copa CONESUL.
PARTICIPAÇÃO DO GOVERNO MUNICIPAL
A cedência do Ginásio Municipal Marcelo Mioso pela Secretaria de Turismo, Esporte, Lazer e Juventude (SETELJ) desde o final de 2017 para os treinamentos da equipe também é considerada pelo técnico Diego de Paula, como fundamental para o aperfeiçoamento dos atletas. "O ginásio tem um piso adequado para a patinação e as dimensões da quadra são perfeitas.
Este apoio do Governo Municipal garantiu qualidade ao treinamento e competitividade aos atletas", assinalou. Segundo ele, o ginásio municipal tem estrutura adequada para sediar uma grande competição, como o Campeonato Brasileiro de Patinação.
Para o secretário de Turismo, Esporte, Lazer e Juventude, Vando Ribeiro de Souza, a patinação é um esporte diferenciado, com boa aceitação junto à comunidade santo-angelense que, além da beleza plástica da patinação artística, ajuda no desenvolvimento de crianças, jovens e adidtos.
"É uma combinação de esporte e arte que sempre atrai um bom público, e o Governo Municipal incentiva também como importante na formação do ser humano, na saúde e no bem estar do atleta.
Além de divulgar Santo Ângelo para diferentes regiões do Estado e do Pais", declarou.
