No mês passado, o vereador Gerson Liiis Morelli, o Keka, enviou expediente ao prefeito Jonas Paegle solicitando a manutenção do local.
O superintendente da Fundação Municipal de Esportes, Olavo Larangeira, diz que neste mês provavelmente será feita uma reunião com os grupos que utilizam o espaço e com a Secretaria de Obras, para que a revitalização da pista seja discutida. "A intenção é reunir os líderes e em forma de mutirão, recuperar o espaço", diz.
Entretanto, ressalta que os usuários precisam cuidar do local. "Se caso houver depredação do patrimônio a gente vai acabar interditando de vez aquele espaço. Agente quer cooperação mútua".
Duas modalidades
Quando a pista foi construída, foi pensada para atender à prática do BMX e também do skate.
No entanto, atualmente a pista é utilizada para prática do BMX, pois o espaço construído na praça Sesquicentenário foi direcionado aos skatistas.
Larangeira conta que houve um acordo entre os skatistas e os praticantes do bicicross para que a pista da praça fosse utilizada para o skate a ao lado da Arena, para o BMX. Foi um acordo entre os grupos e não houve participação da FME.
Vitor Lando, praticante de BMX há nove anos, diz que a pista tem uma boa estrutura, mas está destruída. "Ela tem uns cinco tipos de chão diferentes, um mais áspero que o outro. Dependendo onde o cara cai de bike, arranca a pele toda", relata.
Além disso, comenta que tem vários buracos e as cantoneiras das muretas estão tortas ou não existem. "Nós mesmos tivemos que construir algumas partes com nosso dinheiro e mãos".
Sidnei Belz, o Magau, é skatista mas diz que está auxiliando pois entende que o grupo precisa de a juda. "Estou trabalhando para fazer um orçamento, ver um pessoal do BMX para saber o que precisa ser feito e ver quais são as necessidades", conta.

Administração indefinida
Apesar de Larangeira ter dito que a manutenção e revitalização dos espaços ser responsabilidade da Secretaria de Obras, quando a reportagem entrou em contato com o diretor Nik Imhof, ele direcionou para a diretora do Departamento Geral de Infraestrutura (DGI), Andréa Volkmann.
Não foi possível contatar Andréa, então a reportagem solicitou as informações à Secretaria de Comunicação, que direcionou para Larangeira.
Como o superintendente da FME informou que a Secretaria de Obras seria a responsável pelo local, a reportagem entrou em contato com o secretário de Obras, Ricardo de Souza.
Ao telefone, Souza disse não saber responder e pediu para ligar no dia seguinte. Quando a reportagem retornou a ligação na quarta-feira, 26, o secretário informou que a responsabilidade é do DGI. Com o empurra-empurra, a reportagem não conseguiu mais informações.
