Com o incentivo de cerca de R$ 10 milhões, Ana Moser, Flavio Canto, Marcelinho Machado, Bob Burnquist, Mauro Menezes e Serginho Escadinha vão iniciar uma nova etapa para auxiliar a base de diversas modalidades esportivas. Cada um receberá R$ 1,5 milhão para ajudar em seus projetos sociais.
Em um projeto com duração inicial de dois anos da BV, marca de varejo do Banco Votorantim, Bob Burnquist, presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Skate (CBSK), ganha apoio para instalar kits moduladores em escolas públicas e reformar quatro pistas de skate pelo Brasil.

"Ter essa oportunidade é uma maneira de poder difundir o skate iniciando um teste em escolas públicas", conta Burnquist. "Você chega no colégio e precisa escolher entre futebol, vôlei, basquete. Por qual motivo não podem escolher o skate? Vai ser uma maneira legal para entender se em uma escola encaixaria uma pista de skate", avalia.
Já Serginho, bicampeão olímpico de vôlei, criou o Instituto Serginho 10 com o intuito de utilizar a modalidade como ferramenta de inclusão social. Seu projeto contará com uma unidade sede em Guarulhos e vai atender mais de mil pessoas com aulas diárias. "O vôlei me deu muita coisa e eu acho que chegou a hora de retribuir. Eu seria egoísta se tudo aquilo que eu aprendi dentro das quadras ficasse apenas para mim", conta o líbero Serginho.
"A ideia inicial era fazer o instituto em Pirituba, mas não deu certo com o espaço que encontramos. Aí fui para Guarulhos, onde tenho uma história, e conseguimos um galpão gigantesco numa das maiores avenidas da cidade, de fácil acesso. Começamos a reforma e em 3 ou 4 meses estará pronto. Vai ficar aberto todos os dias, até de domingo, e terá treinamento de alto nível, para criança, para idoso e até o vôlei sentado", completa.

Outros projetos já conhecidos como o Instituto Esporte e Educação, da medalhista olímpica Ana Moser e Instituto Reação, do ex-judoca Flavio Canto, vão contar com apoio para expandir e melhorar as atividades que estão em prática. Dos seis projetos do programa, quatro contam com suporte desde a sua criação, como o Burnkit, de Bob Burnquist, o Instituto Serginho 10, de Serginho Escadinha, o M4NasEscolas, de Marcelinho Machado, e o Instituto Próxima Geração, de Mauro Menezes.
"O passo agora é por dois anos colocar esses seis projetos estruturados, gerando impacto e com gestão. No momento em que isso estiver feito nós partimos para um próximo passo, que pode ser com os mesmos atletas ou ampliando a iniciativa" , declara Gabriel Ferreira, diretor executivo do Banco Votorantim.
"Esses 10 milhões podemos colocar como um investimento de marca. O dinheiro sai do orçamento de marketing e tem todo um plano de investimento para cada um dos projetos. Usamos da credibilidade do banco para prestar contas para a sociedade de como o investimento esta se dando em cada um dos projetos. Se isso for bem feito, outras marcas podem se interessar a apoiar", completa o diretor.
Questionado sobre a crise em relação aos investimentos no esporte, Gabriel Ferreira avalia que a situação atual do Brasil está longe de ser a ideal. "Enquanto brasileiro e enquanto esportistas acho que estamos muito longe e nunca ficamos perto de um patamar de investimento, seja público ou privado, que de fato possa mudar estruturalmente a prática das modalidades e ter o esporte como elemento de educação no País. Nesse sentido, quanto mais melhor".
