Grandes nomes da cultura brasileira como o artista TOZ, DJ Tamenpi, BNegão e Garage Fuzz já estão confirmados
Como já virou tradição, o Oi STU Open transborda a disputa esportiva. Por isso, para a edição 2018, uma agenda de programações já está definida e promete muito movimento, cultura, arte, gastronomia, moda, música e muito mais na praça Duó, de 14 a 18 de novembro, no Rio de Janeiro.
Enquanto rolar o maior campeonato de skate da América Latina, com grandes nomes do skate mundial, o público presente terá uma ampla programação disponível, reforçando a cena da cultura urbana tão presente no universo do skate.
A música estará representada através do STU Music, a arte no STU Gallery e Oi STU House, a moda no STU Store, a gastronomia no STU Hangout, e para quem quiser praticar manobras, o STU Skatável também estará a disposição.
Como skate e música sempre andam juntos, o STU Music terá uma programação completa de shows de diferentes ritmos e estilos, sob comando do DJ Tamenpi, que fará a curadoria musical do evento. Nomes como Garage Fuzz, Metá Metá, Bia Ferreira, BK, Síntese, Orquestra Brasileira de Música Jamaicana, Black Mantra, BNegão, Kamau e Parteum já confirmaram presença, trazendo diversidade e muito ritmo para a cena do skate.
No STU Gallery acontecerá uma exposição inédita com instalações artísticas exclusivas STU e toda a identidade visual do evento em parceria com o renomado artista visual TOZ, um dos principais nomes da cena urbana brasileira, com mais de 16 anos de experiência em grafite e artes visuais. O artista tem como temática principal a criação de personagens abstratos, emblemáticos e trabalhará para amplificar a linguagem visual da plataforma STU.
“Fui convidado pelo Oi STU Open para juntar meus personagens e minhas cores a este grande evento esportista. Realizarei uma exposição e uma instalação que serão acessíveis ao público durante toda duração do evento. A exposição ‘Restos de cidades’ foi concebida como um trabalho arqueológico: resgatando e colorindo partes da antiga pista de skate onde acontece o evento, e transformando-a em obras de arte, para a história nunca ser esquecida. Pois hoje mais do que nunca, é urgente o aprendizado de jamais esquecer o passado”, disse TOZ.
A Oi STU House é o espaço que funcionará como principal hub de conexão e interação do público com o universo do skate e cultura urbana, localizado no centro da Praça Duó. Uma programação completa de atividades gratuitas e abertas ao público será oferecida, como oficinas de silk, ilustração de shape, desenho, grafite, sticker, customização de tênis, laboratório de vídeo, imersão fotográfica etc. O espaço contará ainda com uma celularia de recarga de bateria e Oi Wifi gratuitos.
No STU Store a moda ganha espaço através de uma coleção exclusiva de roupas e acessórios da marca STU, além de collabs com as principais indústrias do mercado de skate. O STU Store será mais do que uma loja de roupas, será um espaço dedicado a moda urbana, oferecendo ao público uma experiência de imergir na cultura das ruas. O espaço ainda irá comportar um estúdio de tatuagem no formato ‘flash-tattoo’ e uma barber shop, pra galera cuidar do visual.
No STU Hangout um complexo gastronômico com as mais diversas opções de comidas e bebidas que fazem sucesso no cotidiano do skate e da cultura urbana entra em cena. O objetivo é que o público possa ter não somente boas opções de A&B, mas possa curtir a Praça Duó em um ambiente agradável, com uma boa música e que comporte toda a família.
E fechando o leque de atividades, o STU Skatável traz uma área 100% skatável, com obstáculos e módulos de pista para que a galera possa levar o seu skate e aproveitar para curtir as manobras na Praça Duó.
Ou seja, o Oi STU Open além de contar com uma grande disputa esportiva, que irá reunir em torno de 150 skatistas do Brasil e do mundo, em duas categorias olímpicas, Street e Park, será um evento para toda família.
A programação esportiva contará com treinos na quarta e quinta-feira (14 e 15), disputa do Latin American, fase classificatória para atletas ranqueados do Brasil e atletas latino-americanos, na sexta-feira (16), semifinais no sábado (17), com transmissão do Globoesporte.com e finais no domingo (18), com transmissão do SporTV.
Apresentado pela Oi, que assina o naming rights do evento, o Oi STU OPEN é viabilizado pela Secretaria de Estado de Esporte, Lazer e Juventude, através da Lei Estadual de Incentivo ao Esporte. Conta com o apoio da Vans, Red Bull e Windsor, parceria da Layback Beer, Drop Dead, Rio Ramp Design e Bar 399, além da parceria de mídia com SporTV, Globoesporte.com e Canal OFF. At the STU Gallery there will be an unprecedented exhibition with exclusive STU artistic installations and the entire visual identity of the event in partnership with renowned visual artist TOZ, one of the leading names in the Brazilian urban scene, with more than 16 years of experience in graffiti and visual arts. The artist's main theme is the creation of abstract, emblematic characters and will work to amplify the visual language of the STU platform.
"I was invited by the Oi STU Open to join my characters and my colors to this great sports event. I will make an exhibition and an installation that will be accessible to the public throughout the duration of the event. The exhibition 'Remains of cities' was conceived as an archaeological work: rescuing and coloring parts of the old skating rink where the event happens, and transforming it into works of art, so that history can never be forgotten. The Oi STU House is the space that will function as the main hub of connection and interaction of the public with the universe of skate and urban culture, located in the center of Duo Square.
