Finalmente! A sensação era esta neste domingo (8) quando após oito anos o Little Mix fez a sua primeira apresentação no Brasil. Ainda que desfalcada, a girlband britânica foi a grande atração da segunda noite do Festival GRLS, em São Paulo, e levou uma legião de fãs ao Memorial da América Latina.
Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock e Jesy Nelson já estavam na cidade há dois dias e é possível afirmar a recepção dos Mixers brasileiros fez toda diferença na estada e na performance das meninas em nosso país. E o show não foi o único compromisso do trio por aqui. O Little Mix foi presenteado com uma placa pelo desempenho dos singles Reggaeton Lento (3x platina), Black Magic (Diamante), Hair (3x platina), Salute (platina), Shout Out To My Ex (2x platina), Touch (2x platina), Wings (platina), Power (2x platina), Bounce Back (ouro) e Woman Like Me (Diamante).
E poucas horas antes de subir ao palco, Jade e Leigh-Anne concederam uma entrevista e revelaram que um novo álbum está a caminho e nos confessaram o quanto estavam ansiosas pelo show e como acreditavam que aquele poderia ser o melhor show do grupo de todos os tempos.
Dito e certo. Logo na primeira música as três integrantes não conseguiram esconder o sorriso largo diante do público, que foi maior do que o da primeira noite de festival. Elas entraram no palco cobertas com capas amarelas e logo após um break dance deram início com Salute, música do segundo álbum das meninas lançado em 2013. O single caiu como uma luva para a abertura, já que a faixa é um ode às mulheres e o dia era nada mais nada menos do que 8 de março, Dia Internacional pela Luta e Direitos da Mulher.
De cara também foi possível perceber a ausência de Perrie Edwards, que não veio ao Brasil por motivos de saúde. Apesar de darem conta do recado em trio, Jade, Leigh e Jesy deixaram o espaço de Perrie em aberto nas coreografias. A falta dela também foi sentida pelo fato do Little Mix ser uma girlband com uma harmonia perfeita de vozes e um grupo onde todas as integrantes têm um papel ativo. Ali não há um membro dispensável, como em muitas outras girlbands e boybands. Um momento engraçado da compensação da falta de Perrie foi em Power, segunda música da setlist, quando Jade se benzeu antes de soltar a voz no verso de notas altíssimas hold up, no you didn’t bow, bow, que seria da colega. O lado bom é que Jade consegue cantar o que ela quiser.
O Brasil apareceu nos leques da performance de Wasabi e no telão em Secret Love Song pt. 2, quando uma grande bandeira nacional mesclada à bandeira do arco-íris foi projetada no fundo do palco. Este segundo momento arrancou muitas lágrimas do público, mas a emoção da galera não se resumiu ali. Reggaeton Lento, Shout Out To My Ex, Bounce Back, Wings, No More Sad Songs, uma versão diferente de Black Magic e Woman Like Me também foram recebidas com histeria.
